Ezekiel 37:1,3

Ezekiel 37:1,3 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Ezekiel is famous for his vision of the valley of dry bones. God showed Ezekiel a whole valley full of dried up bones left over from days gone by. God then asked Ezekiel if the bones could ever live again. And Ezekiel answered, “Only you know, Lord.” And he was right. God gave Ezekiel the vision of muscle and skin coming back onto those dry bones and an entire army of men coming to life! Only the God of creation can control life and death. Only the God of creation can make dead bones come alive once again. God is amazing! God is powerful!

Ezekiel 36:26

Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Some people have a hard heart, but others have a tender heart. That is what our verse is talking about. When our hearts are filled with sin, we have hard, hard hearts. But when we trust in Jesus and are born into God’s forever family, God gives us a new heart- a softer, more understanding heart. But only God can make that wondrous transformation. He can change our stone, cold hearts and give us warm, caring hearts. Thank you, Lord!

Ezekiel 36:23

Ezekiel 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. God had to punish the Children of Israel because they had sinned. But part of their sin was that they did it before the heathen nations. The Israelites mocked the name of the Lord God . God expects the heathen people to be sinners, but not the Israelites. They should have obeyed God, but they didn’t. What a shame. I hope that we honor our Lord with our testimony before out unsaved neighbors and friends. We should be a good example for the Lord.
