I Timothy 1:17

I Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. As Paul was giving instructions to his young follower, Timothy, he was overcome by the goodness of God. Paul got to thinking about how God had saved him on the road to Damascus and transformed his life. Paul thought of how God had led him for many years over many dangerous miles into many different countries. Paul remembered the hundreds of wonderful people that he had met and the many churches that he had started. As the goodness of God overwhelmed him, Paul just had to stop and praise the Lord! Hay, me too! God has been wonderful to all of us over the years! God is a wonderful Savior and Friend!

I Timothy 1:15

I Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. The Apostle Paul made a pretty bold statement here. How could he know that he was the greatest sinner of all sinners? Had he met some of the other really bad sinners to compare himself to? How did he know that he was the worst? Paul knew his own heart. Paul knew that he was a religious hypocrite who was proud of his work for other religious hypocrites. Paul knew that religion without Jesus Christ was worse than no religion at all. As a hypocrite, Paul knew that he was worse than the most wicked person on earth. Murders and robbers and liars are all not as bad as a religious man who thinks his religion will get him to heaven. And that was Paul. So . . . if God saved the absolute worst of sinners, can he save you? Absolutely yes!

Ezekiel 38:23

Ezekiel 38:23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD. God is awesome. And God alone is worthy of our worship. And as His people, we are the ones to make His name great among the nations of the world. God will magnify Himself, and we will magnify his name together with Him. He is worthy of our praise and He is worthy of the praise of all the people of the earth. God is wonderful!
