This is a blog that I have created for my 5 grandchildren. I have a daily Scripture verse or two along with comments and questions. Hope this encourages young people to read in their Bible every day and to meditate on God's Word.

Read Matthew 2:1&2 The story of the wise men is exciting! Just think of these strange men coming from such a great distance to see the new little Christ child! They expected Jesus to be born in the palace since He was a new-born king. But wicked King Herod knew nothing about this baby Jesus. Of course, everybody else in Israel knew that the coming Messiah should be born in Bethlehem. The prophets had foretold that it would be so. The Wise men had seen this new star in the night sky and had followed it to the land of Israel. Perhaps it was a comet; perhaps it was a nova. They knew that something wonderful was taking place because of the appearance of this new star in the western sky. I wonder what these Wise men looked like? Was one of them Chinese? Was one of them from India? Our picture is of three black kings from Africa. Verse 1 tells us the name of the capital of Israel, What was the name of this capital? This was the city where King Herod had his palace.
