Romans 8:1 There is
therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Roman Catholics go to confession
once a week to get forgiveness of their sins. But when they die, they haven’t
been to confession for at least a few days, and they might have some sins that
were not confessed. So a priest must come and give them what is called the last rite. That is so that when they
come to heaven, they will not have any left-over sins that might keep them out. But
that is not what this verse
says. This verse says that when we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior, all of
our sins are forgiven. ALL! That means past sins, present sins, and future
sins. I John 1:9 says If we confess our
sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness. Jesus forgives our sins. We will never face any
condemnation for our sins. They are all forgiven. All sins – forever!
