Jeremiah 23:5

Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. Wow! This is another one of those Old Testament prophecies about the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, Jeremiah was writing under the direction of the Holy Spirit about the coming Savior of the world. Even though things looked bleak for Israel and the Babylonians were ruling over Israel with an iron hand, God was going to protect them and send them deliverance. Oh, It would take many, many years, but God would not forget His own dear people. And do you know what? God will not forget you! He will take care of you and protect you. Even when hard times come in your life, God will still be there loving and protecting you, because You are dear to Him. You are His dear child! Remember Jeremiah. Things looked tuff for Israel, But God was still there. And when things look tuff for you, God will still be there. Never forget.
