I Timothy 6:6-8

I Timothy 6:6-8 But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. When a new little baby is born, he comes into the world with nothing. When that same baby grows old and dies, he takes nothing out either. So, while we are here on earth, we should realize that God is taking care of us. God will meet each of our needs. We shouldn’t worry. Trust God; He will meet each and every one of our needs.

I Timothy 5:24,25

I Timothy 5:24,25 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid. Sometimes we do not know the whole story. Someone may do a good deed, but it goes unrewarded. But remember, God is keeping a record of it! And some other person steals and seems to get away with it. But again remember, God is keeping a record of it too! Someday, everything will come to light. Good deeds will be rewarded and evil deeds will be punished. And that’s a fact!

I Timothy 5:8

I Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. God has promised to take care of us, but He expects us to take care of ourselves and our families if we can. We shouldn’t just sit around and wait for God to send us food. Here in our verse for today God commands us to work with our hands and meet our own needs. He will help us if we need it, but if we are able, He expects us to work. I have heard it said that God feeds the birds, but He expects the robins to dig up the worms that He has provided. Pray and trust . . . and work.
