I Peter 1:16

I Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Holy is something that God is. But here we are told that we should be holy too. That is because when we become Christians, we begin to become more like Jesus Christ. And since Jesus is God and God is holy, we should be holy too. But what is holy? Holy is pure and right and just and honest and fair and . . . well . . . like God. We need to be more and more like God. But, God is a spirit and we can’t see Him. So how do we find out what He is like in order to become like Him? And where do we go to find out what He is like in order to become like Him? We must read the Bible to learn about God in order that we will become like Him. We must become holy because . . . God is holy.
