Joshua and the Children of Israel crossed the Jordan River
and came to Jericho. Jericho stood
between Israel and the Promised Land.
They would have to go through Jericho before they could enter into the
land that God had given to them. Joshua
5:13, 14 “And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up
his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his
sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou
for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of
the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did
worship …” God was there, not to help
Joshua, but to take over for Joshua.
Hey, God doesn’t want to help you, God wants to take over for you. If “God is your Co-pilot”, you are in the
wrong seat! Move over and let God be the
Pilot and you be the co-pilot. Trust in God
and let Him lead your life.
