We have a large canvas tent that our senior class puts up every year for their annual senior class yard sale. The proceeds go towards the senior class mission trip. Former Calvary Christian School students have been to Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands, Romania, France, England, Scotland, and Ireland. Each year as I help put up the tent, I notice the tent stakes. They are old rear-wheel drive axle shafts. They laid in a junk yard until someone repurposed them. They were in a junked car, no longer usable, but now they hold up a tent that makes money used to send kids on mission trips that change their lives. Wow, what a wonderful transformation! Hey, God is in the transformation and salvage business. Paul said in II Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” God takes useless sinners and remakes them into useful saints for His purposes. God reclaims, repurposes, and transforms. Hey, God’s repurposed me; has He repurposed you?
