My son-in-law came in at Christmas with a box of Fruit-of the-Month pears, and they were delicious! They were firm, but not too hard, they were juicy, but not too soft, and they were sweet as sugar. One of Alex’s vendors at his greenhouse had given them a subscription with a different fruit each month. What a wonderful gift, and what a thoughtful vendor! And I was reminded of St. John’s revelation of the New Jerusalem in Revelation 22. John described the Tree of Life in Revelation 22:2, “… which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” This divine Harry and David’s Fruit of the Month was John’s description of the Lord’s Tree of Life. But it not only had a different fruit each month, but it also held healing in its leaves. God always goes one step better than anything that we have! What a wonderful tree, and what a thoughtful God!
