My daughter has two children in college and one at home (yes, keep her in your prayers, for several reasons). But a few years ago, while home-schooling her three children, she took them to Walmart with the idea of teaching them Christian charity. After she had paid her bill, she handed five dollars to the cashier and told her to put it towards the purchase of the person in line behind her. My daughter and her children left, went around the corner, and watched to see what happened. The next customer was so pleased to receive the unexpected gift that they returned the five dollars to the cashier and told her to pass the blessing on to the next customer. The kindness passed on to five people! Jesus said in Luke 6:38, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Often, a kind deed or word will have a ripple effect: it will effecting many people. So, pass on some kindness today. You may or may not be thanked, but the good Lord will be pleased with you. And after all, He is the one that you should try to please anyway.
