We go to church and leave our burdens there, like a big
backpack that we carried in. But all too
often, after the service, before we go out the back door, we pick up our
burdens once again just like the coat that we hung up when we came in. If God is in charge of everything - and He
is, and God knows what is going on in the world - and He does, then the
difficulties and problems in our lives were allowed by God. He uses difficulties to mold us and to make
us into the people that He wants us to be.
James 1:2-4, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers
temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But
let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting
nothing.”
Said the robin to the sparrow,
“I should really like to know,
Why these anxious human beings
Rush about and worry so.”
Said the sparrow to the robin,
“Friend I think that it must be,
That they have no Heavenly Father,
Such as cares for you and me.”
