You can tell a lot about a person at a four-way stop. Theoretically, the first one to the
intersection has the right of way and gets to go first. That is theoretically. But usually, the kinder person lets the other
person go first. Or the bigger SUV’s think
they should go before the little Hyundai’s.
Big Tahoe’s are usually snooty and always go first. Cautious folk with a nice car will let me go
first because I have nothing to lose in my old ’12 GMC pick-up. Hey, how do you treat your fellow man in
life? Are you kind? Do you let others go first? Paul said in Philippians 2:3, “Let nothing be
done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem
other better than themselves.” I know, I
know, someone has to go first at the four-way stop. But does it have to be you? Could you let someone else go first? Think about it.
