Backwards

Thursday evening, Kathy was fidgety, so we went for a ride in the car.  It has been years since we went for a drive in the country, and my wife enjoyed it.  After an hour, I stopped at a Mexican restaurant to get some supper: rice and beans and sweet tea.  While I waited for my order, I went to the restroom.  I locked the door and turned on the hot water in the lavatory while I was using the toilet, but when I went to wash my hands, the water was still cold.  For a moment I grumbled to myself that the owners were trying to save money by using cold water only.  But then I had an idea: I flipped the one-handle faucet from the hot side to the cold side, and warm water came out.  The water supply lines had been installed backwards, but no one had bothered to correct the problem.  Hey, in life, have you ever discovered that you were wrong about something?  Were you confident enough to admit your mistake?  Did you readily confess your error, ask forgiveness, and move on?  Proverbs 28:13, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”  Hey, don’t stubbornly continue on the wrong path.  Admit your mistake and move forward.  Swap that cold water supply line with the hot water supply line and do things right.  You’ll be glad that you did.
