I detest scabs on my socks! You know, those pilled-up pieces of lint that never quite seem to fall off the socks. So, every once in a while, I turn all of my socks inside out just to get those scabs that are on the inside, onto the outside so that the washing machine can deburr the sock scabs. Hey, that’s a great life lesson! Often we need a fresh clean-up of our soul, inside and out. David said in Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” David had a buildup of trash in his soul ... and he knew it! So, take a moment in prayer to come clean before a Holy God. You’ll be glad that you did.
