II Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
liberty. Some people think that Christianity is a list of rules. There is
one list of things you must do and another list of things that you must not do.
But our verse says something different. It says that when you are a follower of
Jesus Christ, there is freedom and liberty. When you follow Jesus Christ you
want to please Him and you want to be more like Him every day. The things that
Jesus likes, his followers like. And the things that Jesus doesn’t like, His
followers don’t like. As followers of Jesus Christ, you want love others and
you want to hate evil. That means that there are things that you will work on
developing in your life – things that you will begin to try to do. And there
are other things in your life that you will try to stop doing – things that are
bad and need to drop out of your life. But these things are up to you and your
Lord. I can’t give you a list of what you should do and what you shouldn’t do.
Both of those lists are up to you and your Lord to work on with the help of the
blessed Holy Spirit. Do you want to obey the Holy Spirit? I hope so! Do you want
to be more like Jesus Christ? I hope so! Pray to God and ask Him for things in
your like that you need to change. Ask God what you should be doing and what
you should not be doing. Ask God how you can help other Christians and how you
can influence non-Christians for good. Remember, you are free in Christ – you
are free to become more like Jesus Christ, your Lord and Master. Remember, you
have the liberty in Christ to become the Christian that you want to be!
This is a blog that I have created for my 5 grandchildren. I have a daily Scripture verse or two along with comments and questions. Hope this encourages young people to read in their Bible every day and to meditate on God's Word.

II Corinthians 3:5
II Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but
our sufficiency is of God; If you are talented, where does your talent come
from? If you are pretty, where does your beauty come from? If you are handsome,
like your grandfather, where does your good looks come from? If you are smart,
where does your intelligence come from? Of course, you may inherit these traits
from your parents and grandparents, but ultimately, we get everything from God,
He is our Creator. God gives us life; God gives us wisdom; God gives us
strength every day. Everything is from God! So let’s not brag on ourselves.
Let’s brag on our wonderful Creator; let’s brag on our wonderful God!

II Corinthians 3:2
II Corinthians 3:2
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Often
we work hard on a project. We may build a house or build a bridge, or build up
a company. But after we die, we aren’t building anything any more. Someone else
buys our house, the bridge eventually decays and has to be rebuilt, and someone
else takes over our business. But if we use our energy to teach and train a
younger person, they will live on after we pass away. Our wisdom and knowledge
lives on! And if they invest their lives in other people and train them, they
will outlive them. Our influence continues on to a third generation! We are
gone, but our influence continues on. We must work for eternity. And the
apostle Paul reminds us that people are important. Hey! I am writing to people!
And you are important!
