Isaiah 6:8 Also I
heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
Then said I, Here am I; send me. Isaiah heard God’s call and answered it.
At first, he felt unworthy, but God cleansed his lips and gave him a message to
tell to his people. Then God asked him a second time, “Who will go for us?” But
why was the word us used in our verse? That’s because God is a triune God. But
what does triune mean? It means that God is one, but in three persons: Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit. Three persons, yet one God. And God wanted someone to
speak to the people for Him. So Isaiah said, “Here am I, send me.” He
volunteered to serve as God’s spokesman. Hey, how about you? Will you speak for
God? Will you tell others about God? God may be nudging your heart about
volunteering to speak for Him. He will give you the words to say. Just obey Him
and go!
This is a blog that I have created for my 5 grandchildren. I have a daily Scripture verse or two along with comments and questions. Hope this encourages young people to read in their Bible every day and to meditate on God's Word.

Isaiah 6:5
Isaiah 6:5 Then
said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I
dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the
King, the LORD of hosts. When Isaiah saw the Lord God high and lifted up,
he realized how sinful and impure that he was. As God became holier and holier
to him, he himself became more and more unworthy. Just like Isaiah, we may think
that we are doing our best … until we see how Holy God is. Isaiah felt
unworthy, but God was going to use him. God sent one of His ministering angels
to cleanse Isaiah’s lips. The angel picked up a hot coal off the altar and
touched it to Isaiah’s lips. God wanted Isaiah to serve Him, but Isaiah had to
be cleaned up to serve the King of kings. Hey, are you ready to serve the King
of kings? I hope you are!

Isaiah 6:1
Isaiah 6:1 In the
year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and
lifted up, and his train filled the temple. King Uzziah was a good king. So
when he died, Isaiah’s world fell apart. Isaiah must have thought, “What is
going to happen to our country now?” But God was still in control. Even though
good King Uzziah had died, God was still on His throne. God had everything
under control. And when Isaiah finished crying, he realized that his hope was
not in good King Uzziah; his hope was in the God of heaven! We shouldn’t put
our trust in humans; we should put our trust in God. God will never die, and
God will never let us down!
