Matthew 7:3-5

Matthew 7:3-5 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. What great verses! It is so easy to see the problems in someone else’s life. But it is so hard to see the problems in our own lives. And isn’t Jesus funny in what He says? Can’t you just see someone pointing out a splinter in their friend’s eye while a huge log is in their own eye!? Absolutely amazing! And Jesus has just the perfect solution: first, get the big pole out of your eye so that you can see clearly to get the splinter out of your friend’s eye. We should examine ourselves first and then examine other people. Good words and good advice.
