II Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles,
deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no
marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it
is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of
righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. I don’t mean to
scare you, but our verse is true. There are many false teachers today. And we
as Christians must be aware of them. So how do we know who is a false teacher
and who isn’t? Well, I like to call it the Jesus test. If a teacher says that
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and the only way to heaven, he is a good
teacher. But if a teacher adds things that we must do in order to be saved, he
is a false teacher, and run away from him as fast as you can. The Apostle John
said it in I John 4:1-3 “Beloved, believe
not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many
false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is
not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that
it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” Good advice,
Apostle John. Good advice.
