Today my wife and I went to Hamrick’s in Ft. Oglethorpe. Actually, she went to Hamrick’s and I was
dragged along. I’m sure you husbands
understand. We took our items to the
check-out counter only to find the three lines backed up. The manager stepped to an empty cash-stand
and rang up a customer. When she was
finished, several customers started to go over to her counter, but she quickly
told them that she was not open. Us
customers looked at each other and shrugged with frustration. Evidently, the customer that the manager had
waited on was a personal friend. She had
connections. Hey, isn’t it good to be reminded
that we as Christians have a personal connection with the Creator of the
Universe? When we have a need, we don’t have to wait in a line. We don’t have to wait our turn, because we
have connections. We can come to the
dear Lord, and He will take us first!
Each one of us are first in God’s line, because we are each His dear
children. Would you like to go to the
front of God’s line? Would you like to
have a personal connection with God?
Meet at church this Sunday and you can learn all about it. I’ll save you a seat.
