My sister found several good people who are just arrived in
America from Burundi. They escaped to
Uganda and then to the U.S. - of all places - Chattanooga. Patti brought them to church on our church
van, first one, then three, now today six adults and their children. Patti uses google language tools on her phone
to translate (roughly) pastor’s messages.
I found four Swahili New Testaments on Amazon this week and with Amazon Prime,
they arrived Thursday in time for my sister to deliver them yesterday. All six were at church today with their New
Testaments. They didn’t understand much
of the Sunday school lessons and the sermon, but they read God’s precious Words
to them in their own language for two hours.
They loved our American pot-luck dinner today. Hey, I loved it too! Praise the Lord for the internet! It can be used for evil, but it can be used
for good. Why not find someone nearby
and go international. Just invite them
to church. I think they call that a
missionary.
