The 5th of July

It’s 11 PM, July 5^th and I can’t get to sleep because of all of the fireworks going off outside.  I thought yesterday was the 4^th of July!  What’s going on?  But then I realized that the good old American free enterprise has kicked in.  What do those fireworks stands do AFTER the 4^th of July?  Of course!  They mark the fireworks down and cut prices so much that my red-neck neighbors can afford tons of celebration - just a day late.  So officially, the 4^th is Independence Day and the 5^th is Free Enterprise Day.  But neither night is for sleeping.  Oh well …
