When I first went to Romania in 1990 everything was in short supply. Long lines were a way of life. You had to stand in line to pay bills, and you had to stand in line to buy bread. So much time was wasted standing in lines. Driving through Timişoara, I saw a line over a block long to buy meat! I have been told that people would get in line just because there was a line! A line meant that there was something there to buy. They would buy whatever was being sold and trade it with someone for what they needed. Now the lines are gone in Romania and there are things available to buy. But with inflation, people are too poor to afford the things that are now available. They have traded one problem for another. I am so glad that the gospel of Jesus Christ is free and available to all who will call upon His name. Hey, if the Holy Spirit is calling you, answer and be saved today. Tomorrow may be too late! Peter said in II Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” Repent and believe while you can. Do it now! There is no waiting in line.
