Shipwrecked

It all depends on how you look at things.  When the apostle Paul was shipwrecked in Acts 27, they obviously didn’t have life vests.  It was only after the ship had run aground and after it had broken up that there were plenty of pieces of wood for each man to cling to and float to the shore.  So, the breaking up of the ship (a seemingly bad thing) provided the means for their saving (a good thing).  Dr. Luke recorded in Act 27:43&44, “But the centurion, … commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.”  Did you get that?!  Everyone escaped to land!  Often the good Lord uses tragedy to accomplish His good.  Hey, God is always up to something good!
