Peacemaker

here is a difference between a peacekeeper and a peacemaker.  Think about it for a moment.  A peacekeeper is someone who is not causing anyone else any trouble.  I can picture them over in a corner minding their own business.  But a peacemaker is aggressively working to keep the peace with others.  In the early 1870’s, Samuel Colt developed a 45-caliber gun that became known as the Peacemaker.  Very different that a peacekeeper timidly sitting in the corner!  Hey, we are called upon by God to be peacemakers ... to get involved.  God gives us His expectations spoken by Jesus and recorded by Matthew.  If you have anything against your brother, follow Matthew 11:25.  If your brother has anything against you, follow Matthew 5:23.  But in both cases, the responsibility is upon us to do something.  We are expected to get involved and make peace with others.  Hey, don’t just be a peacekeeper today, be an active peacemaker.
