Responsibility

 

“Every right is married to a duty; every freedom owes a corresponding responsibility.”  --  Russell Kirk  We all want rights and freedom, but we must earn them with duty and responsibility.  I clearly remember on my report cards in elementary school the comment, “Gerald does not take responsibility.”  But before you jump on me, examine yourself.  Responsibility and duty are traits of maturity.  Paul wisely said in I Corinthians 13:11, “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”  Hey, grow up and be responsible.  You can do it, yes you can!
