I have several dear friends who are struggling with cancer. And I pray for them daily (you know who you are). If someone found the cure for cancer, they would be acclaimed as the greatest hero of our time. And rightly so. But the cure for cancer wouldn’t actually “save” life, it would only “extend” life. If cancer was cured, we would just live a little longer and then die from something else, because with or without cancer, we will all eventually pass on into eternity and meet our Maker. Hey, are you ready for that day? Will you be glad to meet the Lord or afraid to meet Him? The choice is up to you. The writer of the book of Hebrews said in Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Will you be prepared for that fateful day?
