The political ads seem to be never-ending. I thought we had the election, but it was only the primary with the ads continuing. And then there were so many candidates that a second primary was held with the two highest vote getters running. But then the winner of the primary will face the other political party’s candidate in November! It’s never-ending. The ads come in the mail, they come on TV, and they come on the radio. One politician says, “I am the best and the other guy is terrible!” But the other politician says, “I am the best and the other guy is terrible!” Solomon understood. Solomon said in Proverbs 20:14, “It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.” Hey, we need God’s wisdom to know which candidate is best because only God knows the heart.
