Mistaken

I go to cardiac rehab in the dark.  I like going early because, well, I just like going early.  It gets my day started off the right way and I’m just a morning person.  As I drive onto CHI campus, Glennwood Ave. has two lanes with a center turn lane.  Last Friday, as I was getting ready to turn left into the facility (in the dark), I saw headlights of a car coming out of the facility turning right towards me.  But this oncoming car took the turn extra wide swinging into my center turn lane.   I was back a ways but would have met this car head on in the turn lane.  How rude!  But after an hour in cardiac rehab, and with the advantage of daylight, I saw the open construction hole, the orange cones, and the yellow caution tape that I had not seen in the dark.  What I saw as rudeness was the other driver simply avoiding construction.  My bad!  Hey, be as considerate of other folk as you would like them to be considerate of you.  Romans 14:16, “Let not then your good be evil spoken of.”  It’s better to think the best of others unless you are convinced to think otherwise … and hope they do the same for you.
