This is a blog that I have created for my 5 grandchildren. I have a daily Scripture verse or two along with comments and questions. Hope this encourages young people to read in their Bible every day and to meditate on God's Word.

Read Psalms 1:1 & 2 We are getting ready for the super bowl in football in a couple of weeks. When two teams play football, one team has the ball and they are trying to make a touchdown and win points. But the other team is trying to stop them. They do not have the football, but they are still playing - just a different kind of playing. The team with the ball is called offense and the team trying to stop them is called the defense. That is the way with these two verses. Verse 1 is the defense: there are some bad people who we should stay away from. Who are the 3 bad people who we should stay away from in verse 1? But verse 2 is the offense; verse 2 is when we have the football and are trying to score. This verse says that we should love to read and think about God's Word. Here it is called the Law, because Jesus had not been born yet and they did not have the New Testament. The more we read the Bible and the more we learn about Jesus, the more we will love the Bible and the more we will love Jesus! I hope you will read your Bible every day in 2011!
