This is a blog that I have created for my 5 grandchildren. I have a daily Scripture verse or two along with comments and questions. Hope this encourages young people to read in their Bible every day and to meditate on God's Word.

I John 1:1
1John 1:1,2 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. When there is a big court case and the judge and lawyers from both sides call in witnesses, they lawyers are not interested in what the witnesses think. The judge is not interested in who the witnesses think are innocent or guilty. The judge and lawyers want to know what the witnesses actually saw and heard. Were they there? Were they a real witness of things that really happened? The old apostle, John tells us here in our verses for today that he was an eye-witness. He isn't telling us what he thinks might have happened or what his opinion was about things. John is telling us what he actually saw and knows about Jesus Christ. He actually saw Jesus do the miracles. He heard the voice of God, the Father speaking from heaven saying, "This is my beloved Son, hear Him." John is a good witness because he was there. So, as we learn from John's written words in his book, remember, we can believe what he is saying. John is a true witness to the facts of Jesus Christ.
