I John 3:23

I John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. A couple of days ago we talked about the lawyer in Matthew 22. Do you remember what tricky question the lawyer asked of Jesus? The lawyer asked Jesus what was the greatest commandment. Do you remember what Jesus said? Jesus said that the greatest commandment was to love God with all of your heart, soul, and mind. And then Jesus went on to say that the second greatest commandment was like the first. What was the second greatest commandment? The second greatest commandment was to love one another. Actually all ten of the Ten Commandments could be summed up in those two: Love God and love one another. Do you love God? I hope so. Do you love other Christians? I hope so. If you do, you are obeying all ten of the commandments.
