Genesis 2:2,3 And
on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the
seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh
day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work
which God created and made. After His six days of work, God rested on the
seventh day. But, do you think that God was tired? I don’t think so. God can do
hard things just as easy as easy things. Exodus 20:11 tells us that God worked
for six days and rested on the seventh to give us an example. We should work
for six days and rest on the seventh just like God did. As a matter of fact, I
think God worked for a few minutes each morning making the sun or the moon or
the seas or something else simple like that, and then He sat around waiting for
the next day. God took six days to make everything just to give us an example.
God is awesome! He made everything in only six days, so I am sure that He can
take care of you and me. And He rested on the seventh day, so we should rest
and worship Him. Actually, we should worship God all week – and especially
on Sunday!
