Brother Ben told us about his son coming to family devotions without his Bible. Ben said, “Drew, where’s your Bible?” Andrew replied, “Oh, the battery’s dead.” Hey, the battery may be dead, but the Word of God isn’t dead! Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” God’s Words are alive and piercing … forever and forever! No battery required!
