About this time, three years ago, our pastor preached a sermon to motivate our congregation in the coming year. He encouraged us to have “20/20 Vision”. It was a play on words because we were just freshly into the year 2020. But Brother Jamie had no idea that Covid-19 was coming. Although several of our members got the virus, thankfully, all of them recovered. We had to suspend our services two different times because of Covid outbreaks. And I think about our 2020 theme verse, Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish …” None of us knew what was ahead in 2020, but the dear Lord did! And in Covid times or not, we should look forward with anticipation to what God has in store for us. There may be good times or there may be difficult times ahead in 2023, but God will be with us all the way.
