I took my wife to Hamrick’s in Ft. Oglethorpe a while back. Actually, she went to Hamrick’s and I was dragged along. I’m sure you husbands understand. We took our items to the check-out counter only to find all three lines were backed up. The manager stepped over to an empty cash register and rang up a customer. When she was finished, customers from the back of the other lines started to go over to her register, but she quickly told them that she was not open. The customers looked at each other and shrugged with frustration. Evidently, the customer that the manager had waited on was a personal friend. She had connections. Hey, isn’t it good to be reminded that we as Christians have a personal connection with the Creator of the Universe? When we have a need, we don’t have to wait in a line. We don’t have to wait our turn because we have connections. We can go directly to the dear Lord, and He will take us first! But each one of us are first in God’s line, because we are each one His favorite child! Jesus said in John 15:15, “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” Hey, would you like to go to the front of God’s line? Would you like to have a personal connection with God? Meet at church this Sunday and you can learn all about it. Message me for time and place. I’ll save you a seat, because you have connections. ;<)
