My wife is not a morning person. She comes to life in the afternoon and can stay up late at night and get a lot of work done. I just seem to fade after supper and have to fight to stay awake. But this morning, my wife was awake early watching the coronation of King Charles. It started at 5 am. Yikes! I remember my wife and my mother (another not-a-morning person) getting up early to watch the wedding of Charles and Dianna in 1981. Too bad the marriage didn’t last. The coronation of a new king is a lavish ceremony attended by dignitaries and watched by millions. But there will be another coronation coming some day that will be much bigger than the coronation of King Charles. Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory will come back one day to take His rightful place as the King of the earth. Right now, Satan is the prince of the power of the air. But at the end of time, Jesus Christ will return for one last battle against Satan and the powers of the earth. The coronation of King Charles will pale in comparison to the return of Jesus Christ in power and glory! And the saints that are in heaven will return with Jesus on white horses and wearing white robes. Hey, who goes to battle dressed in white uniforms?! That’s because we will not be doing the fighting; we are just spectators to watch as Jesus Christ finishes off His enemies! John said in Revelation 19:16, “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Jesus will reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. Will you be in that throng of the redeemed cheering for Jesus Christ? Or will you be in that doomed crowd of losers and go down with Satan? Make your choice before it’s too late.
