Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you
will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: This is a good verse to
memorize. It is good to know that the salvation that Jesus started in us, He
will take us all through life and finally take us home to heaven. What Jesus
has started, Jesus will finish. Jesus Christ will not leave us alone to try to
take care of ourselves, He will be with us and take us safely on to heaven. In
John 16 the Spirit of God is called the Comforter. What a great descriptive
word for God’s Holy Spirit! He helps is in hard times. He is with us in
difficult places and He comforts us. Someday Jesus Christ will come back to get
us. He will come in the clouds and call us up to be with Himself. And He will
be with until that time! What a great comfort!
