Genesis 6:5-8 And
GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it
repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his
heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face
of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the
air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the
eyes of the LORD. Have you ever played a game called opposites. It goes
like this: the opposite of black is ___ . That’s right, white. The opposite of
fast is ____ . Slow. The opposite of Angry is ___ . Happy. Big ___ Small. Good
___ . Bad. Wicked ___ . Good. In our verses, people had wicked thoughts all of
the time! Their hearts were only evil continually. But the opposite of wicked
and evil is ___ . Noah. Noah did his best to please God. Noah tried to be a
good man. And Noah is a good example for us! Do we try to be good? The key to
being good is to think good thoughts. Think about good things and you will do
good things. Be careful what you think – you will act like you think. So if we
think about God, we will do good things for God.
