Genesis 7:5,7,11,19
And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him. And Noah went in,
and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because
of the waters of the flood. In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the
second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the
fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills,
that were under the whole heaven, were covered. In obedience to God’s
command, Noah went into the ark. And after seven days, the rains came. But there
were two sources of the flood waters: The windows of heaven were opened and
waters from deep within the earth were broken up. There must have been huge
earthquakes and volcanoes with the waters from underneath the earth turning
into steam and spewing out into the atmosphere. We may feel sorry for those who
drowned in the flood waters, but we should focus upon those who were saved in
the ark. Often we forget that sin is evil in the sight of a perfect and holy
God. And God had to judge the evil people for their wickedness. But God
remembered Noah and took care of him and his family and the animals that were
inside of the ark. And don’t forget, God will take care of you too!
