Hebrews 1:1-3 God,
who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers
by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he
hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being
the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding
all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins,
sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; We don’t know who wrote
Hebrews. Some say Clement of Rome wrote Hebrews. Some say Barnabas wrote it.
Most people think that the Apostle Paul wrote Hebrews. Whoever wrote it, they
began in a wonderful way. In the Old Testament, God spoke through the prophets.
But in the New Testament, God spoke through his dear Son, Jesus. But Jesus
wasn’t just the latest one through which God spoke; Jesus was the express image
of God Himself. Jesus was God come in the flesh. If you wanted to see God, you
just looked to Jesus. Jesus was God! But Jesus didn’t come down and be born in
a manger and live a perfect life just to show us God, Jesus came down to die for
us and to pay for our sins. Jesus paid for our sins once and for all!
Hallelujah, praise the Lord!
