My first trip to Romania was exciting. We flew into Frankfort Germany, rented a car, and drove through Germany, Austria, Hungary, and into Romania. We showed up on the doorstep of Florin D. and was welcomed right in. Christians are brothers and sisters, Brother Florin explained. Everything that was his was at our disposal! Brother Florin’s church was the same. When we attended, the church was so full that folk were standing outside listening through the windows. As visitors from America, we were ushered in and right up to the front of the church. The pastor smiled at us, spoke to his congregation waving his hand towards us and said a few more words. Then everyone raised their hands, obviously voting on something. The translator said that they had voted to send greetings to our church in Chattanooga. The vote was 100%. So, we brought back greetings to our church from their church. What a sweet gesture! But it wasn’t original from them. Paul said in the closing of his letter to the church at Philippi that all of the saints in the church in Rome sent their greetings to the Philippians. He said in Philippians 4:21&22, “Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.” How cordial to send and receive greetings from one church to another! Hey, I’m sending greetings to you and to your family this morning from me and my wife! And I hope this finds you well!
