I went out with my family Monday night to P.F.Chang for my
birthday meal. (Don’t ask how old I
am.) I asked seven-year-old Greyson if
he wanted to take the umbrella and go out with mw to meet his nine-year-old
cousin, Bennett. Greyson replied, “Sure.” I grabbed the umbrella and we headed for the
doors. Of course, Greyson had to go
through the revolving door. As he pushed
on the big door, he slipped on the wet floor and fell on one knee. And the tears began and the sobbing
began. I tried to console him, but
nothing would do. I rubbed his knee
telling him that he would be all right. But
he just cried and cried. I continued to
soothe and rub. Finally, his crying eased
up. I said, “Greyson, you weren’t that
hurt.” He answered, “But I’m just an
emotional kind of guy.”
This is a blog that I have created for my 5 grandchildren. I have a daily Scripture verse or two along with comments and questions. Hope this encourages young people to read in their Bible every day and to meditate on God's Word.

God Loves Us
God doesn’t love us for who we are; God loves us in spite of
who we are. God didn’t send His Son down
to help us or to make us better; He sent Jesus to redeem us. We are not worthy of any consideration. We are sinners. We bring nothing to the negotiation table. We have nothing that God needs. God loves us just because He is good. God wants to show His amazing grace upon us so
that we might praise Him. Romans 5:6-8 “For
when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For
scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some
would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Gossip about You
If you are a Christian, people are going to say all kinds of
bad things about you. Just make sure
that they aren’t true. I Peter 3:14,16,17
“But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid
of their terror, neither be troubled … that, whereas they speak evil of you, as
of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in
Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well
doing, than for evil doing.”
