Amos 3:3

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? In order for two different people to walk along the same path, they must be in agreement. What if one decides to turn left? Unless the other turns left too, they will separate ways. What if one walks faster? He will get further and further ahead of his wife. I say he and wife because that’s what happens to me and my wife – she has short legs and I have long legs. To walk together, I must agree to slow down or she must agree to speed up. If one stops to look at something in the store window, the other must stop too. To walk together, one must give in to the other. It could be either one or the other. It could be one at one time and the other the next time – but they must be in agreement in order to walk together. So what does this verse really mean? Be careful who you hang around with. You must be in agreement to hang with them. So about your friends. Are they in agreement with you, or are you in agreement with them? Are they helping you or are they pulling you down? Who you pick to be your friends is important. For soon, you will be like them. Be careful.
