Joshua 6:16 And it
came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets,
Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city. So
after the spies had returned from Jericho with a good report, Joshua laid out a
bold and unusual battle plan. The army was to march around the city of Jericho
following the priests with the Ark of the Covenant without making a single
sound. This they did this for six straight days! And on the seventh day, they
marched around Jericho seven times, the priests blew their trumpets and
everyone shouted and the walls came tumbling down! God had brought the great
walls of Jericho down so that the soldiers could march straight in. What a
great victory for the Israelites! And all because they obeyed God. Only one
section of the wall remained. Can you remember what section and why? Yes, the
part of the wall where Rahab lived. God protected her and her family because of
her help with the spies. God protected Rahab because God keeps His word.
