Jude 6 And the
angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he
hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the
great day. Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 tell about Satan’s rebellion. One third
of the angels were swept away in the rebellion. Those fallen angels were cast
down to earth. God gave them freedom to go about the earth as long as they
respected the restraints of the Holy Spirit. Those demons who didn’t follow
God’s rules were cast into the Lake of Fire where they are today. God will not
tolerate open rebellion and is still in charge of everything. In the end times
described in the book of Revelation, these demons will be released to torment
the earth for a brief time and then they will be judged and cast into the Lake
of Fire forever and forever. God will punish rebellion, either now or
later.
