Habakkuk 1:13 Thou
art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity … There
are many traits of God that are interesting. A trait is something that you can
say that a person always does or is. For example, God is pure. God is holy. God
is never-changing. And there are many more. Our verse in Habakkuk says that God
is pure. So if God is too pure to look at evil, does that mean that He can’t
see our sin? Well yes and no. You see, God has already paid for our sins on the
cross of Calvary. Our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. So when
God looks at us, He doesn’t see our sin; He sees only the blood of Jesus
Christ. He is looking at our sins, but He sees only the blood of Jesus Christ. God
has forgiven us, and our sins will never be remembered. Praise the Lord!
