Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye
shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish
ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I
command you. Moses reveals that there are two dangerous errors you could
make when teaching the Scriptures. You should not take away from anything
that God has said, and you should not add to what God has said. Both are
errors. Sometimes we like to interpret what God has said in the Bible. That’s
OK, but that is only our opinion, that isn’t what God said; that is what we
said. And then we like to not talk about
some of the verses of Scripture that we don’t agree with. But we are taking
away from what God has said. So both of these are errors. What should we teach?
Well, just teach all of the Scripture. God said it and we should just believe it
- believe and teach all of it.
