II Timothy 4:14
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to
his works. Wow, this is a very interesting verse. Some people helped Paul like
Timothy and Silas, but some people hindered Paul, like Alexander. Paul didn’t
try to get even with Alexander, Paul just wanted the Lord to keep the score. And
someday in heaven, good works done for Jesus Christ will be rewarded. But also,
someday in heaven, evil works will be revealed and punishment will be given
out. Someday in heaven, the Apostle Paul will be rewarded for helping the
people of Macedonia to learn about salvation in Jesus Christ. But someday at
the Great White Throne Judgement of God, Alexander the coppersmith of Macedonia
will be called out and embarrassed big time! So, what about you? Are you
serving God or hindering God? Let’s obey God and His Words and then we can look
forward to seeing God’s smile.
