Bible Prophecy

Five years ago, I was in Budapest, Hungary giving a creation seminar to high school students.  A girl from China asked me how I knew that the Bible was true.  I told her, “Fulfilled prophecy.”  None of the holy books of the world’s religions has prophecy in them.  None.  That’s because they are only books.  But the Bible is the Word of God, and God alone knows the future.  In Matthew chapter two, the wise men from the East came to Jerusalem searching for the new-born King.  King Herod was troubled, because he was the king.  So, he asked the chief priests and scribes where the Messiah would be born, and they immediately knew: in Bethlehem.  They quoted the prophet Micah in 5:2, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”  This was written 700 years before Jesus was born!  That’s crazy!  No one can predict where they will be born.  No one except the very Son of God.  You can trust the Bible, and you can trust God.
